Hope Food Pantry


3rd Monday at 4:00 pm.

Free food to families in need. Families must bring proof of income and proof of a LaRue County address. This ministry serves approximately 110 families each month. Generous donations from church members and the community help sustain this ministry as we purchase food from Feeding America and receive donations from local organizations and individuals. This ministry team also hosts a Food Pantry Fellowship Meal on the first Wednesday of the month at 6:00 pm. Free supper for food pantry participants and volunteers. “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in.” Matthew 25:35 

Children's Ministry Mentor Program

Members of the Ministry Mentor team ministry provide gifts (cards, small gifts, etc.), support, and prayer during the year for our children.  Each adult adopts one or two children to sponsor and encourage for a year.  This ministry helps us develop relationships with children in our church. “May our sons in their youth be like plants full grown, our daughters like corner pillars cut for the structure of a palace.” Psalm 144:12 ESV 

Christians in Action Mission Team

After joining a conference mission trip to help repair homes from hurricane damage, a new ministry was formed to complete mission service projects both near and far. No carpentry or building skills are required. There are jobs available for anyone who wants to help. See Randy Osburn for more information. “For we are God's fellow workers. You are God's field, God's building. “According to the grace of God given to me, like a skilled master builder I laid a foundation, and someone else is building upon it. Let each one take care how he builds upon it. For no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 3:9-11 (ESV) 

Manna Ministry

Women of the church provide meals to shut-ins each Wednesday.  A visit, a prayer, nourishing food, and fellowship are good for body and soul. "Rise in the presence of the aged, show respect for the elderly and revere your G0d. I am the Lord." Leviticus 19:32

Laundromat Ministry


Last Thursday and Saturday of the month

This ministry team shares God’s blessings by paying for use of washers and dryers at Hodgenville Coin Laundry. “People don’t light a lamp and put it under a basket but on a lamp stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way let your light shine in front of people. Then they will see the good that you do and praise your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:15-16

Do you have musical gifts? The music ministry of HUMC is always looking for musicians and vocalists to help lead worship, provide special music, and participate in holiday cantatas. Come join the fellowship and make a joyful noise! ”Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music; make music to the LORD with the harp, with the harp and the sound of singing, with trumpets and the blast of the ram's horn- shout for joy before the LORD, the King. Little Blessings Children’s Church


Contact: Tracy Murray
Children are invited to join Little Blessings during the sermon portion of the worship service. Bible stories, games, crafts, and songs help children learn about God and Jesus. Ages 2 through 3rd grade are welcome to attend Little Blessings. The group begins after the Children’s Moment during Sunday morning worship.
“But Jesus said, ‘Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children.’ And he placed his hands on their heads and blessed them before he left.” Matthew 19:14
